Catheter Care for Common Urologic Disorders is an 8- Hour Continuing Education Course. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to Describe the anatomy of the lower urinary tract and the pathophysiology of urological disorders. Define the role of botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) therapy in detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia, idiopathic detrusor overactivity (overactive bladder syndrome), interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome, and benign prostatic hyperplasia and compare and contrast different techniques for injecting BoNT in the lower urinary tract Review the clinical data to evaluate the efficacy and safety of BONT as a potential treatment option for certain urological conditions.
All instructors are licensed LVNs and RNs approved by the State of California.
