IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal is a 36-hour course, consisting of 27 hours of lecture and 9 hours of clinical skills. It discusses safe administration and maintaining intravenous therapy, arterial puncture, and blood withdrawal. It is designed to provide knowledge and skills to students about the guidelines for the proper administration of IV therapy and blood withdrawal, recognition of possible complications, side effects, and reactions, determining drug dosage, preparation, and identification of IV therapy roles. In addition, related universal precaution and safety factors of infection control and preparation or choice of equipment are also discussed.
All instructors are licensed LVNs and RNs approved by the State of California.

Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
